What is a tile spacer?

A tile spacer is a small plastic tool, typically cross-shaped or T-shaped, inserted between adjacent tiles to hold them at a fixed distance apart during installation. It ensures that grout gaps remain uniform in width across the entire tiled surface, which is essential for both the appearance and structural integrity of the finished floor or wall.

Spacers come in various sizes, commonly ranging from 2mm to 10mm or more, depending on the desired grout joint width.
